I am offering a 2001 Santa Cruz "Norman Blake" model 12 fret dreadnaught for sale or trade.Built with mahogany back and sides, a
sitka top with really nice silking, ebony bridge and fingerboard, brand new Gold Waverly tuners, 12 frets free of the body and a slotted headstock with an
ebony overlay, a nut spacing of 1 & 7/8" and a fairly low profile mahogany neck. This guitar has really opened up over the years. There is something
special about 12 fret guitars. The tone seems so much more open and the body really resonates against your chest. This guitar is capable of very pretty
fingerpicked lines or for digging in with a flat pick for some raucous fiddle tunes. Action is set up low for fingerstyle and there is 1/8" of bridge
showing. There is a LR Baggs I-Beam pick up installed for a very acoustic amplified sound. The only real flaws are an indention on the back of the headstock
from a string change and some string scratches inside the headstock as shown in the photos. Otherwise, just the usual wear on the lower bout from the arm and
very minor scratches on the back, top and pickguard that will not photograph. Case is a new "Gieb" style "Made in USA" TKL.
I recently purchased a new Collings D1A and don't need two high end "Hogs", but could use a nice 000-15S for couch picking or occasional RV outings. I would also consider a CA (great for RV or back yard picking) or Martin D-28 or equivalent but only 1-3/4 or greater neck width. Or maybe something else with a wide neck I find interesting! What do you have?!
Contact me for more information, pictures, etc. and what kind of deal you have in mind for your guitar if you want to trade. I am asking
$2200 shipped CONUS for my Santa Cruz, $2100 if you don't want the TKL case, but I have an older case I can supply.
