I don't have a high opinion of the seller. Wants a few thousand but is unwilling to do the research. Whenever you see a seller making insurance optional, you know you are dealing with an idiot. The seller is always responsible for damages. When a seller doesn't purchase insurance, it is because he/she elects to self insure. Still, this seller may scare away the big money due to her ignorance which may mean there's a bargain to be had. I certainly would pay by credit card or PayPal backed by a credit card only. Her negative feedback indicates she doesn't pay much attention to shipping details but this has a nice hard case. It looks like a great guitar but my money is tight and I already have one (and it's not as nice as this). If you have been looking for one, this may be it - but be careful. The decal on the back of the headstock is interesting. I have never seen a '61 with the logo on the back. I wonder if there are any other oddities with this one. By the way I still have the '41 00-28G Herringbone. What a sweet guitar. Reg

I agree with Mike that there's a danger dealing with someone unfamiliar with guitars. I once thought I bought an 00-28C from a similar seller who basically specialized in sports memorabilia. Turned out to be an 00-18C and the sellers refused to give me a refund. I eventually got my credit card company, after I greatly documented my case, to give them a charge back.
