IMO, you can fingerpick a dreadnought, you can flat pick a 000 or OM -- no problem.  But in a bluegrass jam (specifically), the dreadnought is simply louder and has more presence.  One of the problems with jamming in the first place is...

Sure we do that quite often.  But I don't have any Adi 00-18V's in stock at the moment...the ones I had sold and the new ones are a few months out yet...sorry!

As a guitar player, I consider "playability" to be a relative term.  If you like the Modified V neck, then the guitar has the "playability" you want.  if you prefer a low profile neck, then it's the other way around.  Of course, all...

Yes, in fact Martin changed the policy fairly recently, although I'm not sure why - probably some kind of liability issues I would guess.  And like Todd said, dealers can pick wood sets and send photos to customers for their perusal...
