BOOT SOCKS |

I've searched the web and have not found an answer so I thought I would query the experts here on the forum. I have two pair of Lucchese western boots ,
which I really enjoy, and have been wearing over the calf Thorlos boot socks with them. Now here's my question/problem: the socks seem to lose there
elasticity after a couple of months and I find myself constantly having to pull them up. At $15.00 a pair it seems they should last a little longer. So I'm
looking for recommendations for a sock that won't droop or sag. I should add that I bought a half dozen pair of socks so they're only getting washed
once a week or so.

Hanes makes good socks. I just wear the white ones with grey toe and heel. They changed them recently so they look smaller out of the package, and I thought
they would be too tight, but I've grown to like them as the elasticity holds better than the old kind. I wear all kinds of boots, my main pairs being
Nocona and J.B. Hill, and I'm quite happy with the socks. No sagging anyway.

Greetings!
I just hate socks that fall down inside my boots, so I like these: Railroad Boot Socks and Railroad Western Cotton Boot Socks 85% cotton for comfort, but 15% nylon/acrylic makes them keep their shape and wear well. At $4-$5/pair, they don't break the bank!
Cheers!

I have a couple of pairs of Justin boot socks that I wear with my Luccheses - they work fine.

I've been wearing Dan Post boot socks (almost daily) for the last year and they have held up great. Don't think they have ever slid down, but they are
tall ending just below my knee. I've tried Thorlos but never liked them. Browning has worked well too, and they are a bit lighter weight for summer wear.

+ 1 for Dan Post book socks.
Sheplers and Cavenders both stock them and have websites from which you can purchase them. |

I use the wool socks at Costco for around $3 each. I really like wool because it keeps your feet warm and dry in the winter and cool and dry in the summer.
Cotton socks tend to turn into wet dishrags with me.

I have a pair of wineberry goat Lucchese boots (and ten or so pairs of other boots). I generally wear plain, thin dress socks that go up over the calf. They
don't slide down into the boots.
I wear boots every day, but I only wear the Lucceses two or three times a year.
