Tell you what: I think I know that feeling, Lee.
I was away for only a week from mine. It was lying in its case humidifying and patient at home. While away, I had an opportunity to grab a tuned guitar, a Yamaha. Just to get in a few licks and strums, you see. It was awful, sounding like it was full of popcorn or toilet paper. It was a painful experience, despite the respite with that Yamaha.
I am spoiled rotten with that D-42 and that pleases me. Once back in my arms, it has played so sweet! It is as if it plays better every time the light hits the abalone, I'll tell ya. Being away from the passion is difficult for old fools like me. Worth every penny I paid for it! Well, I'm healing now some; although the horror of that Yamaha lingers... Need to go play, Jay
