I've got an H2 Zoom digital recorder that I'd like to make more use of, including doing some editing and mixing on the computer, etc. Any attendees
who are familiar enough with this stuff to give me a tutorial on the basics of recording, mixing, etc? If there is enough interest perhaps this could be an
informal miniworkshop of sorts.

Good shout Dennis - I am bringing my Boss Micro recorder in the hopes that some of the clever folks can show me how to use the darn thing!

Dennis,
Sounds like a great idea for an impromptu workshop. I've never used one and wouldn't mind seeing a demo. Sometime on Sunday, perhaps? Rhys

Rhys, sounds good to me...except I'm the one who needs a teacher! Rick sounds like one...perhaps others will offer their expertise?

perhaps others will offer their expertise? Perhaps I'll bring my H4 and offer my bumbling ineptitude. Marshall |

Marshall, That would be greatly appreciated. (Also, I have one dvd and one cd burned for you in exchange for the Bowlin and Laibman items...just
never got around to putting them in the post.)

Hi Dennis -
I can give you a few tips. I may not be much of a guitar player, but I do know something about recording.

Guys this is beginning to sound like something. I'll be happy to share what little I do know although most of that's on the Boss platform. Maybe more
of a brainstorming session with any interested folks participating. Either way it sounds pretty good to me. I really enjoy recording and have gotten some great
results with a fairly simple platform. Nice thing about the Boss devices, they have their own onboard mics, ( as do the Zoom devices). Makes capturing ideas a
lot quicker, and easier.

This sounds like a plan. I have the H4 and used it sparingly because of my lack of knowledge. Let me know when and where we will do the impromtu workshop

Awesome idea. I've done some sound editing, but not in this arena. I'm looking forward to learning.
Hey, Marshall, you haven't brought your "bumbling ineptitude" in the past. You've demonstrated skill with everything you've done. Can't wait to see that facet. ~ Barbara |

"Me too"... my H4 would get much more use if I was more comfortable with it.
Though nothing you can show me will make up for it's microscopic display, which bothers my old eyes--that's another reason I haven't fallen in love with it. - Jay |
