Another person of notoriety has passed. He was a well known pitchman, Only Sold On TV items are going to need a new salesman.

I think Sham Wow was sold by the dude that was beat up by the @$%%%*. Mays pitched that Oxy Clean stuff and the little pen that removes scratches from your

Weird thing for me is that we built his mom a house here in Upstate SC. He was actually in the process of building a very large home himself here (Lake
Robinson), but his builder went belly up. A friend of mine was hired to finish the home up. I've seen him around here a couple of times. I called my
friend when I heard the news-left him a message. Big a$$ house. Wonder if his wife will complete it and move in. I would. It's a nice small lake that
is very quiet....and nothing more than a 15hp boat.

The guy was always like fingernails on a chalkboard for me. But I hate to see anyone unexpectedly die at 50.

I have heard that the plane he was on (US Airways flight) had a hard landing in Tampa and that he was hit on the head by something. That was the evening before
he was found dead but nothing conclusive yet.

He was a co-star on that "reality" show Pitchmen, which I enjoyed. It seemed like he was very sharp and indeed had a good sense of humor. He may be
best known for his loud and somewhat obnoxious infomercials and commercial snippets but he knew quite a bit about sales and was clearly talented at what he
did.
So strange... and stranger still they keep showing his commercials on TV. I suppose these companies will for a while (till they move on to new products to hawk) but last night it was very odd to see the commercials back-to-back with the news about his passing.

Preliminary autopsy shows heart disease and not any head trauma killed him.
"If everyone in the world could get together and agree on just one thing, there would be a big fight over who thought up the idea".

Sad. He seemed like a very nice guy. But clearly wired for high energy production and mixed with heart disease, that can be a time bomb.
I hope his family and friends can find comfort in his memory. Wayne Henderson House Concert

Sad to hear of anyone dying at a young age like 50 and you can't help but feel sorry for his family. That said, his volume and approach certainly
wasn't my cup of tea...but we all have an off switch on the TV so I can't complain (never bought any of his pitched stuff, but surfed by and heard him
from time to time).
It is amazing how many people I've heard of lately (not just him and MJ) who have died around the age of 50. Odd.
