Without exagerating, it seemed to have the best playability that I have experienced on an acoustic. The sound was resonant and complex. Has anyone had experience with these guitars? Are they of the similar high quality that I experienced, or was it a fluke? Thanks, Jeff

I'm from Vancouver originally -- played quite a few Morgans, though I never pulled the trigger on one. From the ten or so I've probably had in my hands in Vancouver shops over the years, I'd say Morgans show consistently high build quality, craftsmanship, and beautiful woods. Nice, sweet sound, though not the loudest guitars in the world -- and again, consistent. I'd guess that the one you played was not a fluke.

(06/17/09 10:49 AM) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	I live in Vancouver, so there is a good selection here, a friend was visiting and we went guitar shopping, the standouts were two Morgan's. one a concert cutaway in sitka/mango, and the second is a D in Engelman/braz.. both wonderful instruments, and when A/B'd with a late 60's 000-28 more than held their own. The only issue is at the price point there is alot of options, i think of Paragon, Webber, JDS, Northwood, Spect, Kronbraur, Thompson & many more before you even leave BC... all building at or below Morgan's price point, and they all can build you a fine instrument as well. But of the price is right, and you love the guitar... what more can one add ;-) Enjoy it! d.

I played a Bubinga dread that he made that I should have gotten. I'm still kicking myself for letting that one get away. If the one you described is that good don't let it get away.

Or at least a lot of Morgan's necks. When I toured the factory last fall, they had a bunch there in various stages of the doing. That's not a bad thing, in my book, but is kinda interesting. If I remember the story, David Iannone started out working for Jean Larrivee, so I guess its a natural thing to see.
