(06/17/09 11:39 PM) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	Tags : None Hello, I bought myself a Father's' day present today--a Huss and Dalton TDR custom--with my wife's blessing no less. OK, so its not a Martin and I've never been a rosewood guy, but I got to play one last weekend at a jam here in TX and was blown away by the tone. It appears to have some wear on it. I have not played it so I don't know how it sounds. And I am hoping the neck and frets are in good shape despite the wear (looks like someone's strumming left some scratches close to where the neck and front of the sound hole meet). Why am I writing? Not sure actually. Just had to tell someone and you all seemed like a likely batch of folks to tell. If it sounds anything like the one I played this weekend, I will be tres happy.

Let us know more once it arrives. Perhaps you may want to consider moving this thread to "The Guitar Critic's Corner," where it might attract more attention. with my wife's blessing no less I love it when that happens. My wife got behind my purchase of a Santa Cruz OM in the early 90's. I went shopping at a great new guitar store in my area at lunch, and later that day I told her about the fantastic Santa Cruz I had played. She said "why didn't you buy it?" I explained how expensive it was, and she didn't skip a beat. "So? Why didn't you buy it?" Then she left the room and returned a minute later with a few hundred bucks in unused travelers' checks from a previous vacation, handed them to me and said "That's my contribution. Now go buy it."
