Hmmm ... something didn't come through here. Just bought over the weekend a 1994 Martin D-16H from Joe Vest at Big Joe's Guitar Works. Back in the
Martin fold after being gone for about 4 years. I have heard lots of good things about this model - almost a Vintage series with the dovetail neck joint and
the forward-shifted scalloped X-brace, but a low profile neck as I understand it. It's been used a lot, not pristine, but love marks. Joe said it is a
great bluegrass guitar, and one of the few mahogany guitars he has liked. Should arrive by the end of the week.

They are special. I have a 1989 D-16M that make me sound about 5 times better than I really am; the sound from it blows me away.
You made a very fine choice that I assure you won't be regretted. Give us a report when she arrives. |

I have pics on my computer from Joe, but it seems I need to create an album on the web in order to show them here (unless I am missing something), and I
don't have any web-based photo albums, so not sure if I will get pics up or not.

Congratulations!
I recently purchased a 1992 D-16h and it's a wonderful guitar! Mine doesn't have any lovemarks yet, but I'm sure I'll put some on there as time and lots of playing goes by. |
