Well,
I had an excellent visit with my doc at the UCSF Helen Diller Center. My first nursing job was at the Mt. Zion Hosp.(same campus different name) My doc other than being a wonderful doctor and person is a very accomplished painter. She came to our appointment with a gift for me. A beautiful Plein Air painting! I will see if I can put it here on the forum. Thanks for all the love and support. Jan She updated her website and the painting isn't in it,but I did find it in another site-enjoy! http://imagekind.com/show...b-4e54-99d1-249b090c7136

Jan,
That is wonderful news. I know that you are in for a lifetime of regular testing so my prayers will be for continued negative results. As soon as I am cleared to drive again, I will head up your way so that we can grab some coffee and talk again about life, guitars, the universe, mandolins and everything.

Hi all,
Thanks for the words of encouragement. As some of you may know, Mike and I live fairly close to each other and have met twice up here in Sausalito. He is an incredible musician and a really funny and nice guy.We are becoming friends. We have communicated back and forth since his stroke, because I have had experience with my own stroke(almost a decade ago) and with my medical background,I am keeping apprised of the progress he is making...which is INCREDIBLE!!! So I look forward to another visit. Take care all!Love you guys and gals! Jan |

The " I am Cancer Free " thing is so wonderful to be able to say , think and know . A few years ago , I was told that I had 90% probability that I
had bladder cancer and that one more test would verify it . They were wrong . I am with you all the way sister !

My continued best!
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of
arriving safely in one pretty and well-preserved piece. One should rather skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming -- "WOW! WHAT A RIDE!" |

Please forgive my late-coming to the thread, Jan! I'm kinda hit or miss, in this Section. I did want to extend my warmest congratulations to you,
though......so though I'm late, I'm no less gratified to hear that you're doing well, and plan on being around for awhile longer.
My best wishes, for continued good health! Darrell
