I got this one from Dennis Overton a small bulider on the Tenn/Va border. A very light Brazilian back and sides. It resonates like an old Martin and plays like a dream. He puts a candle on each headstock and prays over each guitar he builds. |

Posch #28 arrived this afternoon. It's got a big voice for a small (to me) box. I haven't seen a brand-new Posch in over 2 years now, and Leo's fit
and finish is continually getting better. After playing it for a while I took it outside to the "guitar tree" and snapped some quick shots...

Hey Zane - a Henderson, an Arnold, and a Dude - that's incredible. How about a little description of the differences (or similarities) between them?

Warren,
Gorgeous guitar! Tell us more about Bill... I googled his name and got a "website" that only has contact info on him. How long has he been building? Does your guitar sound as good as it looks? How much does he charge? What is his wait time? Etc... us gear junkies wanna know! :-) Gary |

Hi Gary,
Bill Bonanzinga has been building for around 20 years and his guitars are reasonably priced. He is quite well known in alt country circles. I discovered Bill because Jay Farrar of Uncle Tupelo and Son Volt fame was playing one of his guitars and I loved the sound of it. They definitely have a sound of their own. My Adi/Quilted Mahogany dread has a warm sound, but at the same time has incredible punch and volume. You have to play one to believe it... best mahogany guitar I have ever played! I ordered a second guitar in the first few days after I got the dread. His wait time is currently running around two years... although it could possibly be shorter because of the possibility of cancellations in these rough financial times. Don't know about Bill, but I know other builders are experiencing cancellations. Bill is a great guy to work with and is always looking for ways to make his guitars better. He can be reached by telephone at 631-666-4074 or by e-mail at Gipsytailwind AT aol DOT com. There are pics of a few of his guitar and some miscellaneous info at: http://www.houstonmusicre...com/bonanzinga/main.html Good luck, Warren |
