Question about posting pictures with Photobucket |
Lead | |
|
I'm having a problem posting pictures with Photobucket and hope someone can give me some advice. I have had no problem in the past, but during the past
week or so, if I try to click on the icon for posting from Photobucket, I get no response at all. Any thoughts?

There's a Yuku support thread that mentions some people having that problem, perhaps related to using IE8 ... Photobucket doesn't work at all for me! Doesn't sound like they've got a definite solution yet. FWIW Neil edited to add: Just tried a test post with IE8 and sure enough clicking on the Photobucket icon yields nothing. Same with the Yuku images icon and the embedded video icon!

Thanks, Neil. It appears the problem is with IE 8. I found a help link at Microsoft's web site that would automatically uninstall IE 8 and reinstall
IE 7, complete with all original settings. I opted for that so well see if it works by attempting at test picture here of my 42 year old D-28. Appears that
it worked.

Hi McCawber, Well this is a bit late now that you've rolled back your IE install but for anyone else using IE8 .... an admin at Yuku support pointed out there is a "compatibility view" switch on the IE8 toolbar which corrects the problem. Photobucket doesn't work for me (see posts 21 and 22). I tried it out and all the image icons work correctly for me in this mode. Here's some MS info which shows how to configure IE8 to automatically switch to compatibility view for specific web sites: IE8 compatibility view Neil |
