Going back through my email, it has been about 6 weeks since my last cummunication with FGM, in which they claimed they were in production and would be
shipping in 2-3 weeks. I still haven't received anything from them since last year. How about the rest of youse guys? Some of you were still getting
your magazine, while others were in the same boat as me. Have you seen any change?

I just called the phone number listed on their website and the recording advised that the new issue is in the mail. While I don't know when they began
using this message, I am pretty sure it was recently. I called the week before last and the message said that the magazines would be mailed in the near
future. Ultimately, I was most encouraged by the phone not being disconnected.

MADYOM, you're in better shape than I am - I didn't even get that one. I still have a year left on my subscription. But I wouldn't be checking
the mailbox just yet...

I've been a subscriber for about four years and this issue has been an on-going one. In my first year, I tried to contact them numerous times. They never
answered my e-mails and on those rare occasions when I reached a live body by phone I was told "it's being mailed out right now", which I guess
is the publishing equivalent of "the check is in the mail." I had one prominent guitarist whose name you'd recognize tell me that they were
"a cheap outfit", so they may be living on the edge, I don't know.
That said, I continue to subscribe although I personally would no longer lock myself in for more than one year at a time. It's a good mag, there is nothing else out there like it, and I've ended up talking a Zen-like approach to the whole matter. I now realize that they are not a quarterly publication like they say they are; rather, they are a "we'll publish an issue when we get around to it" sort of group. On occasion, it's three months between issues, more commonly four months and occasionally more than that. I no longer try and contact them to find out what the heck is going on because what good would it do me? It is a shame that such a nice magazine takes such a cavalier approach to customer service. I live about 15 min from Elderly and they sell it, so in the future I simply may not subscribe and instead pick up a copy when I'm at the store to visit Disneyland (i.e. Elderly's high end acoustic room). That will protect me if they go under. In the meantime, I'll wait for the next issue because it has always come eventually so far. |

I let my subsription lapse a couple of years ago for the very reasons you have all mentioned here. I actually liked the magazine but never knew when it would
arrive, what issue it was or how many were left on my subscription. When I got a notice that it was time to renew, I threw it away and never looked back. By
far, the very worst company for customer relations.

I don't really care how long it takes between issues, I just want to get the ones I paid for. I suppose I should start looking for news stand copies.

I paid for a subscription and in five months have yet to receive a mag. I e-mailed them concerning the fact that they did not have a problem taking my money
but seemed to have a problem sending me their product. I received a reply that the mag was in the mail. This was about 5 wks. ago; alas, no mag.

If they know that they are in the red, they should just close shop. I doubt i'll bother renewing ,,,,, a lot of their Tabs are wrong anyway. I remember how excitied to see John Standefers Man Of Constatnt Sorrow tabbed a few years ago, only to find it was wrong!\ |

,,,,, a lot of their Tabs are wrong anyway. They did the same to "Lullaby," one of my tunes. After insisting that I write the transcription, they substituted their own, inaccurate version.

Well, guess what? I finally got FSG issue #67 today (7/14)! I haven't read it yet, but it looks pretty decent, and the CD also looks good. According to
my mailing label, I have 11 issues left....at this rate...(?). I also am due my free strings, but at least I got the newest issue.

My first copy arrived last week. Not impressed and will not renew, if there is a production this time next year.
