It was late afternoon and those foothills started looking kind of scarry. I got two blocks away, turned around and went back to our garage where I ate the bread and peanutbutter and nobody knew any different. It would of been much more difficult to come back if I told everyone I was leaving. I guess I wasn't trying to get attention.

I once announced my departure from the acguitar.com forum. I had been a member for a long time and had never really made any waves. So one day, a friend tells me about this IPOD deal, where you get people to sign up to some sort of advertising site - frankly, I don't even remember all the details of it. Anyway, I brought the subject up on the forum and was flamed relentlessly. For some reason, some of the members thought I was trying to run a scam or something. I honestly didn't know any better. Anyway, that experience left me bitter, so I decided I had had enough of the forum. But, since I had been unnecessarily demonized, I felt the need to air out my feelings about the treatment I had received. So that's what I did in a farewell thread. Thing is, I actually did leave. Maybe a year or so later I checked the forum again, and even posted once or twice, but that was it. It just didn't feel like my kind of place anymore after that. There, glad I got that off my chest.
