Hiscox for archtop

Does anyone know if the Hiscox Pro II - GJ case will fit a Gibson 17" archtop. The Hiscox wesite says it's for J-200s and 17" archtops, so you'd think the Gibson archtops, which I think have the same dimensions as the J-200, would fit, but the site also says the case fits a 12" upper bout, and my L7-P has a 12 1/2" upper bout. Anyone have any experience with this particular pairing of case and guitar? I've had a Hiscox case before and was quite impressed...

Help identifying movie with Martin guitar appearance

I was watching a movie on TV a few years ago that I believe takes place in the 1930's. The movie is in color and I want to say it was made in the 1970-2000 era. Anyway, their is a scene in the movie where their is a country dance taking place with a band playing a few acoustic instruments. The guitarist is playing a Martin because the Headstock decal is very visible in the close up shot and identifies it as a such. If I sell something to a pawn shop, local GuitarCenter or elsewhere, I had a few questions:
1. do I need to pay sales tax ?
2. do I need to report that on my income taxes at the end of the year ?

I know it's not the best place to sell, but sometimes it's the easiest - if you go to something like ebay, you have to deal with them taking their percentage, then if you use Paypal, they take another chunk and then you have to worry about shipping and if anything happens...

Hello all. I just joined the Martin club a few days ago by finally getting my hands on a DSR-GC model. It was the best I could afford that sounded great and was all wood. I love it!

Do repairs lower value of an older Martin?

I just read the thread on refinishing a guitar lowering the value but what about necessary repairs. For example, if I had a 50's D28 that needed a neck reset and the bridge reglued and had that done by an authorized Martin repair person, would that lower the value as well?

Not that I have a 50's D-28 (I wish) but just wondering if I come across something at some point, what is considered to not effect the value and what does (like refinishing)?

Any ideas on this?...
