			<description><![CDATA[ While on business in St. Louise this weekend, my wife and I visited a guitar shop on the west side. By chance, a vintage Gibson that had been placed on
lay-a-way and then forgotten was back on the market. The price? - the balance due!!

My wife purchase it on the spot. She knows a good deal when she sees one.

It has some mojo but no structural problems.

			<description><![CDATA[ An Engelmann Spruce top 1953 D-18 has appeared on the Gruhn&#39;s list with a slightly larger than standard pickguard. The outside curve on the upper end
reminds me of the pickguard on the Intermountain 1953 D-18. Frank Kern, a Martin employee from 1946-1980, has told me that they only made larger pickguards for
guitars that came in for repairs. Some longtime dealers have told me otherwise, that Martin made some larger pickguards on new guitars for dealers that
specifically requested them.... ]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[ I have an old Bay State with beautiful Brazilian landscaped back and sides. It is an 0 size and very close to, but not identical to, a Martin 0 shape. It is
ladder braced and an OK guitar as it is. The top has a few cracks but the back and sides are crack free. It is a little deeper than the Martin 0.

I&#39;ve been reading in the forum about making Franken-000s out of Martin classicals, etc. and got to thinking about applying that program to this

0-18:  All original except new bone nut and new correct bar frets.  Neck reset and action with original saddle is fine. 100% original finish, no overspray, no
cracks, some minor hen pecks.....Beautiful guitar that I believe would look like new from 4 feet away.  Have not seen this one in person.
