			<title><![CDATA[ Acquired a Hawaiian "junker"... ]]></title>

			<description><![CDATA[ I&#39;ve got a cheapo hollow neck guitar, probably from the 20&#39;s or 30&#39;s: painted finish, movable bridge with a tailpiece,  wood nut and saddle. 
I&#39;m going to try to get it playing again and I&#39;ve got a couple questions:

1) It has a metal disk slightly smaller than the sound hole, mounted in the hole on a dowel glued to the back.  I&#39;m thinking it&#39;s some kind of
&quot;sound enhancer&quot; or maybe a mute?  Anyone have an idea?

			<title><![CDATA[ Getting Tall? ]]></title>

			<description><![CDATA[ I&#39;ve got an old Epiphone acoustic that was left behind the seat of a pickup truck for the summer down on the coast of Texas. Now, not surprisingly, the top
is badly warped - the bridge tipped up and I&#39;ve been told, no repair possible. So it has become my lap slide guitar. However, the strings are still pretty
low towards the nut. Is there something I can do to raise them? Maybe some sort of tall nut or something?

			<title><![CDATA[ Can you identify this old Resonator ]]></title>

			<description><![CDATA[ My father bought this old wooden resonator guitar at a pawn shop back in the mid 1930&#39;s. The headstock repair was done over sixty years ago and remains
stable to this day. I have been told it is a Double Cyclops Dobro that was made for Montgomery Ward and it has the Poinsettia metal resonator. Here are some
pictures of where the headstock decal used to be. Any ideas on what this resonator guitar might be. Thanks for your help.

instrument (1938), so should I get a vintage tube amp?  Or would a new amp be better?  I don&#39;t really even know all the questions I should be asking, so
