Anyone know if Martin is going to release photos and video from the event? I seem to recall receiving a package last year with a DVD

Today I locked in my booth for Martins on Main for 2010. Next year I will do the stringing again and will be putting strap buttons on for those that want them. I hope to see you all again next year and Nichole . Please change your strings around Thanksgiving so I don't see my same set again next year LOL . Looking forward to seeing you again . For I may even have a few sets of 12 strings for those that need them.

Hotels in Nazareth

I've never been to Nazareth and I'd like to take my son to Martinfest next year. Are there any hotels/motels within walking distance of the activities? Thanks.

I'm not sure if Ed reads this forum, my guess would be no, but I just wanted to mention how great it was talking and listening to him play, I hadn't realized before what a fine guitarist he is...he's the real deal, that deep expressive voice, those lyrics and that "Cowboy Mustache" ( a song he tells me he did not write but I think it suits him - the song and the mustache )...thanks again, Ed, for another wonderful Martinfest memory, Tony

So much happened so quickly, I don't remember everything, and I know I may be forgetting important things...things I will remember as soon as I post this.

One thing I found out ...about the fall I had from my bicycle right before Nazfest...well I had so much fun, I didn't know until two days ago when I finally got X rays taken...I have two broken ribs and didn't even know it. I was on the 'guitar, new friends and Advil diet' and the great time eclipsed any...

I know this is early, but my wife and I took another couple down to Nazareth last week for a factory tour on our way to the Gettysburg Battlefields. Our friends own a couple of Martins, but only the wife plays and she's pretty much a novice.

Anyway, they loved staying at the Historic Hotel Bethlehem, and my buddy Mark (who is totally unmusical, but is an engineer who owns a manufacturing company) was blown away by the experience at the factory and wants to attend Nazfest next...

I had such a great time at Nazfest with my mom. I thought I would be so bored but instead all of you guys inspired me. First with Paula teaching me how to play a few chords AND letting me play her "hippy" guitar all week. Not being completely recovered from Nazfest, where I was surrounded by great people and great guitars, I plan to visit Mandolin Brothers tomorrow, Saturday 8/15. I'm hoping it might take the edge off, and speed my recovery. Going to try out the Museum Edition D-28, Grand J 35, and a few other goodies. The only thing that could improve a visit to Mando Bros would be meeting some of my new Nazfest friends there. By coincidence, anyone planning to stop by?

...started for me with NazFest. Every year it seems I have been extending my stay at the Comfort Inn, and this year I came in Thursday afternoon and left Tuesday. In spite of the sleep deprivation it still felt like it was too short - there were still so many people to meet and to play with and so much camraderie and so much more to share and enjoy. Some of you may recall that my father-in-law died a short while ago - about a month before Naz. So, this was kind of a bittersweet trip for my wife and me. But, I was glad we came for the music and fellowship. Tess was not really planning on coming, but, since two of her uncles live in Easton and another one lives in Trenton, we decided to visit them during this trip, as well. So, we missed the Martins on Main St. so that we could go spend some time with Tess' uncles - sort of a farewell...

I have been blessed to be part of the NYNJPACT! A good number of UMGFers that I did not get to hang with, I see during the year at various picking parties and get togethers. Each year as we meet new people at Mfest, the NYNJPACT grows!

I agree with Rhys in saying that each Mfest is as fun as the last. Each year since I have been attending, Mfest blossoms into something different yet exactly the same. Friends getting together sharing fun, music, guitars, friendship and comaradere. I...

I had three guitars at MartinFest and I travelled them in middle-weight cases, various foam and plush and canvas things. When I got home last Tuesday afternoon I left them in my hall, where they sat until last night. It was time to put them away, so I polished and cleaned them and put them in their hard cases on the guitar shelves and stowed the middleweight cases away in the closet ... and that is that. NazFest is over.

Yeah, right. Sure.

On the first night at the Comfort Inn, there was this guy with an awesome singing voice in the Cheers Lounge right behind me as I was sitting on the big leather sofa. I was captivated. Then thoughout the whole weekend whenever I heard him play and sing.
