Whoah! How good does this baby sound tuned way down to CGCGCD with Medium PB customs in new Newtones?

Mighty good, that's how good. It has snapped (not an accidental word choice) me out of my dizzying phase of earthly presence in Gibson
round-shouldered-ness, and my intense phase of vintage warm tone in Fender electric-ness, and I have once again found the light. The pristine, crisp yet full
Martin-chorus-of-angels-in-a-box light.

greetings, fellow earthlings.

Well, I just pulled the trigger on #25-had to pull some financial strings to do it but didn't want it to get away. It will replace my grandmother's
1936 0-17 that she bought new. It needed a lot of repair that I just couldn't afford, so I'm using the funds from it towards a worthy replacement. I
think this custom will do the job nicely. Now I just have to be patient and wait for it to get here.
I've been hanging around UMGF for a while now, but I never realized that Martin had produced this Custom based on Mac's specs. That is fantastic. The
guitar really looks like a winner to me. I saw some discussion about the headstock design in posts back from 2003, but all I can say is that I think Martin is
the grand master of slotted headstocks, and I love the headstock on this guitar.
