It sounds great. Perhaps light on the bass compared to the HD-28 and D-35 I fell in love with. But overall, I think it is perfect for me. I wanted some sparkle/jangle at the top end and it has it. It responds to fingerstyle very well. And it looks beautiful. The neck is narrower than anything else I play, but even with my very disturbed-mushroomed-swollen second finger, it plays cleanly. A friend advised against adding a pickguard saying that it would hinder the top vibration and negatively impact the sound. Not sure if its the power of suggestion, but the now the high strings seem muffled. Makes me wonder if maybe Andy Griffith was right.

I can feel the vibrations through the back on every open string except the High E, it loses it's fundamental and goes almost immediately into partials and long overtones.

Found out that 000-18 GEs sound really good, but to my ear the OM28V outdid it. The OM28V somehow followed me home after my wife indicated it would be OK to buy one if I liked it.
