perfect for me. I wanted some sparkle/jangle at the top end and it has it. It responds to fingerstyle very well. And it looks beautiful. The neck is narrower
than anything else I play, but even with my very disturbed-mushroomed-swollen second finger, it plays cleanly. The action appears high, but it plays like

			<description><![CDATA[ <p>I recently added a teardrop pickguard to an englemann top OM guitar which didnt have one.  A friend advised against adding a pickguard saying that it would
hinder the top vibration and negatively impact the sound.  Not sure if its the power of suggestion, but the now the high strings seem muffled. Makes me wonder

I have purchased a new D35  and I must say the workmanship is impeccable.

Sound is just luscious;  but on five strings only.

I can feel the vibrations through the back on every open string except the High E, it loses it&#39;s fundamental and goes almost immediately into partials and
long overtones.

Found out that 000-18 GEs sound really good, but to my ear the OM28V outdid it.  The OM28V somehow followed me home after my wife indicated it would be OK to

			<description><![CDATA[ I bought my 2008 HD-28 last winter, and just love the sound when played with a pick.  I also have a 1997 Taylor 714.  While the Taylor doesn&#39;t sound nearly
as good when picked, I do like the sound better than the HD when played fingerstyle.  It seems a little brighter (its a Taylor), and I guess a little more
balanced.  Both have the same strings.  I&#39;ve tried D&#39;Addario pb lights (coated and uncoated), as well as the Martin pb lights (coated and uncoated).
